The report from Holliday Landing (573-224-3430) is that this reservoir is now near summer pool and is stable. Since it has the St, Francis River as its source, it is vulnerable to fluctuation. The crappie bite is always on in May as the lake is so far north. There are many backwater areas that harbor this species as well as bass and bream. The spawn will be on here for all. Catfish will also be much sought after but the white bass, that this lake is known for, will be traveling up the river for their spawning activities. Later in May, they will resume their schooling out in the open water. Turkey season will still be open in early May as well.
